Students will have in-depth knowledge of the specifics of the subject and methodological history and the links between this science and other disciplines. They will be able to formulate research problems, plan and carry out research to solve them. In addition, they will distinguish methodological orientations, design and conduct research in the chosen scope, develop and present the results obtained. Students will be aware of the level of their own research competencies, their relevance, originality, innovation, personal contribution to the theoretical and / or practical problem solving within the chosen specialty.
Students will participate in the following didactic classes: seminar (choice of sociology of culture or history of Silesia), methodology, methods and techniques of research, economics, recent history, European civilization, didactics of higher education and doctoral dissertation. During study, there are organized educational trips (domestic and foreign). The results of the research students may present during a scientific conference. They can apply for scholarships under various scholarship programs.
